My newest page on one of three collaborative accordion books, produced "exquisite corpse" style with artists Trish Shepard and Kathy Honea. One of the most fun and quirky projects I've participated in!
I have two pieces on display at Georgia Southern University's Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art's Alumni Show. Continuum was curated by Nick Nelson, the Director of the Springfield Art Museum and GSU MFA alumni.

Getting a new test piece ready to resin - hard candy, sugar and licorice.
I will be teaching an image transfer workshop at the Wyly Community Arts Center in September. This will be a fun and quick-paced introduction to transferring images and to combine images with paint, charcoal, beeswax, etc. Ideal for anyone looking for a creative way to use their images and to mix photographs with other media.

From June 2-6 I taught a one-week workshop at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO. Titled "Exploring Alternative Processes" the students used their images to explore techniques for output and to use in mixed media pieces. The week was packed with information, experimentation, and occasional dancing.
Students printed on aluminum sheets, aluminum foil and fabric, and transferred to wood, plastic, metal, and leather.
This past weekend my artist friend showed me how to coat panels with epoxy resin. Research for future work.
My large print Mandala was juried into the Colorado Photographic Arts Center Members Show by Mark Sink. The exhibition opens on Saturday, May 31st from 2-4pm and closes Saturday, June 28th, with a closing reception from 2-4pm.

Found this little gem while organizing my image library. I love making spontaneous images in the middle of more long term research projects. This one was such an image, made with a few things collected on a very, very rainy 9-mile solo backpacking trip.
I will be teaching two workshops this summer at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO. The first is called "Exploring Alternative Processes" running from June 2-6. It will be an intermediate/advanced workshop focusing on image output on a variety of media, covering digital collage techniques in the computer and physical mixed media processes. Ideal students are artists looking to diversify their practice either by learning tools in Photoshop or combine photography with different materials.
